A performance art festival was held recently in Akureyri, Iceland’s largest town outside the capital area, drawing several artists to the northern port, according to RÚV.

Anna Richardsdóttir, an artist who has practiced performance art in Akureyri for almost forty years, was a leading participant at the festival.

During one festival event, Anna Richardsdóttir travelled by rowboat down Gilið, a waterway in Akureyri, accompanied by a male choir for the performance, RÚV reported.
