Icelandic stories. Global audience.

How we work

We follow Icelandic media, official bodies and public records every day and choose the stories that tell the world something about Iceland. Our reporting is written from established facts, in our own words, and we name the outlet that first reported a story. Stories that involve crime, deaths, minors, legal disputes or health, and stories that rest on a single source, are reviewed by our editor before they appear. Photographs are our own or openly licensed; when a picture does not show the event itself, we say so. If we get something wrong, we correct it and say so.
