Tourists are flocking to Gljúfrabúi waterfall in southern Iceland, according to a report from RÚV. Long queues have formed at the site as visitors seek out the secluded falls and take selfies, with many getting thoroughly soaked in the process.

Gljúfrabúi is the neighbour of the renowned Seljalandsfoss waterfall on the country’s southern coast. Once less visited than its famous counterpart, Gljúfrabúi has now become a magnet for foreign tourists, who are drawn to its unique location and the experience of walking right up to the cascading water.

The lure of Gljúfrabúi is not only its setting but also the adventure of reaching the falls, where visitors are often doused by the heavy spray while getting close for photos. The combination of natural beauty and the thrill of getting soaked has made the waterfall a popular stop for many travelling the area.
