The Tourism Research Centre at the University of Akureyri in north Iceland has completed a two-year project focused on the use of interactive technology and storytelling in tourism. The UPLIFT project, funded by Erasmus+, aimed to develop new approaches for educational and practical use in the tourism sector, Vikublaðið reported.

UPLIFT was carried out by the Icelandic team in collaboration with partners from five other European countries. The project has resulted in a variety of educational materials designed to help tourism professionals strengthen their use of technology and narrative techniques.
