Adam DiMarco has been cast in a leading role for ‘Dark Ocean’, a new Icelandic film also known by its Icelandic title, ‘Hafið er svart’. The casting was reported by DV and Vísir.
DiMarco, who rose to fame in the second season of the television series ‘The White Lotus’, will appear opposite Icelandic actors Baltasar Kormákur, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson, Þorsteinn Bachmann and Þorvaldur Davíð in the upcoming film.
The film is being produced by Glassriver, with Baldvin Zophoníasson set to direct. The screenplay is written by Matthías Tryggvi Haraldsson, according to reports from Vísir.
There are differing reports on DiMarco’s background: DV describes him as Canadian, while Vísir calls him a 28-year-old Canadian-Icelandic actor. It is not yet clear how the film will credit DiMarco’s nationality or where he will be billed in the cast list.
