A young girl was pulled under the water by a wave at Reynisfjara, the well-known black sand beach in southern Iceland, according to reporting by mbl.is today.

Heiðrún Hauksdóttir, a guide, witnessed the event and recorded it on video. She said many tourists still act carelessly at Reynisfjara, even though new safety equipment was installed earlier this year.

Reynisfjara is popular among visitors for its black sands and unique scenery, but the beach is known for unpredictable waves and strong currents that pose significant risks to tourists.
