Svavar Jónatansson travelled around Iceland this summer, arranging journeys for residents of Hrafnista, a care home in Iceland, to give them an opportunity to see the country and travel abroad and to boost their wellbeing, RÚV first reported.

Jónatansson explained that his inspiration came from unexpected literary origins, saying, “This started when I read a terrible science-fiction book that described a future where everyone was stuck in some virtual reality.” (translated from Icelandic)
