The Icelandic Meteorological Office has issued orange weather warnings for South Iceland and the Breiðafjörður region, according to RÚV English and Iceland Monitor. The alerts, which signal potentially dangerous conditions, are due to very strong winds and heavy rain expected in the area.

Throughout Wednesday and into early Thursday, every region in Iceland will be under at least a yellow or orange weather warning. Meteorologists caution that these conditions could make travel hazardous.

In Iceland, orange weather warnings indicate severe weather that could lead to disruptions or danger. Red warnings are the most severe level, while yellow means less severe but still notable conditions. The situation will continue to be monitored by authorities.
