Icelandair has announced it will add a special flight for passengers to witness the next total solar eclipse, mbl.is reports. The flight is being organised specifically for eclipse viewing, according to the Icelandic news outlet.
Astronomer Sævar Helgi Bragason said, as translated from Icelandic, “On 2 August next year will be the longest total solar eclipse of this century.” He explained that the best and longest views will be in Egypt, where the eclipse is expected to last six minutes and twenty-three seconds. Bragason added that the eclipse will also be widely visible from southern Spain.
