Members of the rescue team Björgunarsveitin Strákar have been working intensively today as a powerful storm struck Siglufjörður, a town in North Iceland, according to the local news outlet Trölli.

The storm has caused significant property damage throughout Siglufjörður. Some houses have had their roofs blown off and debris has been scattered around the town, Trölli reports.
