Iceland’s Hellisheiði Geothermal Plant marks 20 years since commissioning
Hellisheiðarvirkjun, built by Reykjavík Energy south of Henglafjall, was formally commissioned on 21 October 2006. The power station remains a landmark in Iceland's geothermal energy infrastructure.
